프랑스의 세계적인 물·환경 전문기업인 베올리아(Veolia)의 자회사이자 수처리 기술 및 서비스 전문업체인 베올리아 워터 테크놀로지(Veolia Water Technologies, 이하 베올리아)는 동남아시아 지역 고객에 대한 지원을 강화하기 위해 말레이시아에 3개의 새로운 이동식 역삼투압(RO) 수처리 시스템을 배치한다고 3월 27일 밝혔다.

이 계획은 사업 운영과 지역 사회를 보호하려는 베올리아의 약속을 강조하는 동시에 고품질의 물 솔루션을 제공함으로써 지속 가능하고 건강한 세상을 만드는 데에도 기여한다.

오리온™(Orion™) 장치와 함께 두 개의 역삼투압(RO) 시스템으로 구성된 새로운 이동식 수처리 시스템은 베올리아의 이동식 수처리 기능을 50% 이상 향상시키고 이 지역 고객을 지원하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

베올리아는 더 짧은 시간 내에 더 많은 물을 효율적으로 처리함으로써 고객이 필수 공정수의 품질과 양을 보장하면서 최적의 생산 수준을 유지할 수 있도록 지원한다.

이동식 RO 시스템인 ‘MORO-4x25C’는 시간당 25㎥의 생산 속도를 관리하는 기존 ‘MORO25C’ 장치와 비교하여 시간당 최대 100㎥의 물 단일 통과 처리(water single pass treatment)이며, 이중 통과의 경우 시간당 50㎥를 처리 및 생산할 수 있는 강력한 시스템이다.

이 이동식 수처리 시스템은 보다 짧은 시간 내에 더 많은 물을 처리함으로써 베올리아의 고객은 공장 가동 중단 또는 복구 작업의 중요한 기간 동안 생산 중단을 최소화할 수 있는 권한을 더욱 강화할 수 있다. 이를 통해 원활한 운영 연속성을 보장할 수 있다.

또한 ‘오리온 6000S(Orion 6000S)’는 제약 응용 분야의 물 순도 표준을 높이는 데 획기적인 변화를 가져왔다. 기존 ‘Orion 4000S’ 장치를 보완하여 시간당 최대 10㎥의 이동식 정제수를 생산할 수 있는 능력을 갖춘 새로운 Orion 장치는 글로벌 약전 표준을 충족하고 엄격한 제약 공정의 요구사항을 능가하는 유일한 이동식 수처리 시스템이다.

또한 한외여과(UF) 연마기로 구성하여 주사용 증류수(water for injection, WFI)를 공급할 수도 있다. ‘오리온 6000S’는 탁월한 정수 외에도 에너지 및 물 소비량을 줄여 고객에게 상당한 장기적 운영비용 절감 효과를 제공한다.

새로운 이동식 수처리 시스템은 말레이시아 셀랑고르(Selangor) 푼칵 알람(Puncak Alam)에 있는 베올리아의 이동식 물 서비스(Mobile Water Services, MWS) 보관소(depot)에 설치할 예정이다. 이 보관소에서는 시스템 유지 보수, 공급업체 적합성시험(Factory Acceptance Testing, FAT), 시운전 및 내부 교육을 위한 중심 허브 역할을 한다.

베올리아는 다양한 지역에 있는 이동식 RO 수처리 시스템을 이 중앙 집중식 시설로 통합함으로써 긴급 상황 시 고객에게 전달하기 위해 자산을 신속하게 배치할 수 있다. 

이 전략적 이니셔티브는 말레이시아, 싱가포르, 태국 전역의 고객을 위해 운영 효율성을 유지하고 자산 배치를 가속화하여 물 회복력을 향상하고 지역 전체 제조시설의 원활한 비즈니스 연속성을 보장하려는 베올리아의 확고한 의지를 보여주는 것이다.

The deployment of three new mobile assets in Malaysia strengthens the support to customer business operations.

Comprising two reverse osmosis (RO) systems alongside an Orion™ unit, the units increase water treatment capabilities by over 50% to sustain optimal production levels while ensuring the quality and quantity of essential process water. 

In a bid to strengthen its support for customers in the region, Veolia Water Technologies, a subsidiary of Veolia and a leading specialist in water treatment technologies and services, unveils the deployment of three new mobile assets in Malaysia. 

This initiative underscores Veolia’s commitment to safeguarding business operations and communities but also contributes to creating a sustainable and healthier world by delivering high-quality water solutions. 

Comprising two reverse osmosis (RO) systems alongside an Orion™ unit, the new mobile water treatment assets will increase Veolia’s mobile water treatment capabilities by over 50% and play a crucial role in supporting customers in the region. 

By efficiently treating more water within shorter time frames, Veolia empowers its clients to sustain optimal production levels while ensuring the quality and quantity of their essential process water. 

The mobile RO systems, MORO-4x25C, are powerhouses capable of treating and producing up to 100 m3/h of water single pass treatment (50 m3/h for double pass) compared with the existing MORO25C units that manage a production rate of 25 m3/h. 

With more water treated within a shorter time frame, Veolia's customers are better empowered to minimize disruptions to production during critical periods of plant downtime or repair work ? ensuring a seamless continuity of operations.

In addition, the mobile Orion 6000S is a game-changer in elevating water purity standards for pharmaceutical applications. With the ability to produce up to 10 m3/h of mobile purified water, complemented from the existing Orion 4000S unit, the new Orion unit is the only mobile system that meets the global pharmacopeia standards and surpasses the stringent pharmaceutical process requirements. 

It can be also configured with an ultrafiltration (UF) polisher to deliver cold water for injection (WFI). Beyond its exceptional water purity, the Orion 6000S stands out for its reduced energy and water consumption, translating to substantial long-term operational savings for customers.  

The new mobile assets will be located at Veolia’s Mobile Water Services (MWS) depot in Puncak Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. This depot will serve as a central hub for asset maintenance, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning and internal training. 

By consolidating Veolia’s assets from various locations into this centralized facility, assets can quickly be deployed to reach customers during emergencies. This strategic initiative demonstrates Veolia’s unwavering commitment to maintaining operational efficiency and expediting asset deployment for customers across Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand - improving water resilience and ensuring seamless business continuity for manufacturing facilities across the region.
