환경 컨설팅 및 지속가능한 엔지니어링 전문 사모펀드 지원 기업인 버던터스(Verdantas)는 12월 13일(현지시각) GRP 엔지니어링(GRP Engineering Inc.)를 인수했다고 발표했다. 

GRP 엔지니어링은 전력 시장의 고객에게 전기 설계 및 건설 관리 서비스를 제공하는 독립적인 전력 유틸리티 컨설팅 및 전기 엔지니어링 회사다. 

제시 크로펠니키(Jesse Kropelnicki) 버던터스의 최고경영자(CEO)는 "최근 몇 년간 변전소 자산 디지털화, 송배전 신뢰성 강화, 환경 계획 및 서비스 제공 등 전력 시장에서 강력한 입지를 구축하기 위한 진전을 이뤘다"며 "이번 인수는 이러한 진전을 기반으로 전기 엔지니어링 팀과 서비스 제공 범위를 확대함으로써 역량을 발전시키고 고객의 요구와 지속가능한 에너지로의 전환을 충족하기 위한 전략적 다음 단계"라고 밝혔다.

GRP 엔지니어링은 △오버헤드 및 언더그라운드 파워 라인 엔지니어링(Overhead and Underground Power Line Engineering) △계획 및 경로 선택(Planning and Route Selection) △시스템 모델링 및 계획(System Modeling and Planning) △로드 플로우 분석(Load Flow Analysis) △양방향 조달(Right-ofWay Procurement) △유지보수 및 신뢰성 시스템 강화 설계(Maintenance and Reliability System Upgrade Design) 등 기존 역량에 부합하는 풍부한 전문지식을 제공한다. 

GRP 엔지니어링의 서비스는 광섬유 시스템 설계, 산업용 전력 시스템 설계, T&D 변전소 및 스위칭 스테이션 엔지니어링, 보호 계전기 모델링 및 설계 강화, 변전소 제어, SCADA & RTU 시스템, 수집기 시스템 설계, 상호 연결 변전소 설계, 유틸리티 조정 등으로 확장된다.
