데이터 센터를 위한 선도적인 액체 냉각 회사인 제트쿨(JetCool)은 1천700만 달러 규모의 시리즈 A 자금 조달 라운드를 성공적으로 마감했다고 발표했다.

보쉬 그룹의 기업 벤처 캐피탈 자회사인 보쉬 벤처스가 주도하는 이번 투자 라운드에는 인큐텔(In-Q-Tel), 랩터 그룹(Raptor Group), 스쿠너 캐피탈(Suner Capital) 등 유수의 기술 투자자들이 참여했다.

이 자금은 글로벌 성장을 촉진하고 AI와 고밀도 컴퓨팅에 대한 수요 증가에 맞춰 회사의 차세대 액체 냉각 솔루션 로드맵을 더욱 확장하는 데 사용될 예정이다.

또한 투자의 일환으로 보쉬 벤처스 투자 파트너인 아담 잭슨(Adam Jackson)이 제트쿨의 이사회에 합류할 예정이다.

이번 투자는 효과적인 냉각 솔루션이 무엇보다 중요해진 AI와 고밀도 칩에 대한 수요가 심화되는 시점에 이뤄졌다.

퍼시스턴트 마켓리서치(Persistence Market Research)에 따르면 전 세계 데이터 센터 액체 냉각 시장은 2021년에 22.5억 달러를 차지했으며 CAGR 25.8%로 급증하여 2032년에는 약 310억 달러의 가치를 달성할 것으로 예상된다.

제트쿨은 5월에 Dell PowerEdge 서버용 SmartPlate System을 선보였다.

제트쿨의 고급 액체 냉각 기능을 Dell PowerEdge 서버에 통합함으로써 고객은 기존의 공랭식 서버 공간 내에 액체 냉각 기능을 배치하여 서버 투자를 극대화하는 동시에 뛰어난 컴퓨팅 성능을 달성할 수 있었다.

지난 6월 제트쿨은 듀폰과의 협력을 통해 첨단 액체 냉각 기술 채택을 늘리고 대만과 싱가포르의 반도체 기업을 공략할 수 있는 판로를 마련했다고 발표했다.

The funds will be used to fuel global growth and further expand the company’s roadmap of next-generation liquid cooling solutions to match the growing demand for AI and high-density computing. The global data center liquid cooling market is rapidly growing; it accounted for $2.25 billion in 2021 and is predicted to surge at a CAGR of 25.8% to reach a valuation of $31.07 billion by 2032, according to Persistence Market Research.
