미국 수도협회(American Water Works Association, AWWA)는 10월 6일(현지시각) 인도 라자스탄(Rajasthan) 주 자이푸르(Jaipur)의 호텔 랄릿에서 개최된 AIA(AWWAIndia Association)의 제2회 국제 연례 컨퍼런스 및 전시회(AICE 2023)에 참가했다고 밝혔다. 이틀간 진행되는 이 컨퍼런스는 물 안보 및 지속 가능성에 초점을 맞춘다.

AICE 2023은 인도 주택도시부(Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs) 및 잘 샤크티부(Ministry of Jal Shakti)와 협력해 전 세계 물 전문가를 위한 중추적인 역할을 담당하며, 세계적으로 안전하고 깨끗한 물을 발전하기 위한 AWWA의 지속적인 노력을 강조한다.

AICE 2023은 △24시간 물 공급 △수질 오염 및 수질 △수자원 보존 △기후변화가 수자원에 미치는 영향 등을 특징으로 한다. 물 관리에서 여성의 역할과 물 부문의 신흥 기술 탐구에 대한 특별 세션도 포함된다.

HV 파텔(HV Patel) AIA의 회장은 "AIA는 인도  물 분야가 직면한 중대한 문제를 해결하기 위해 물 전문가 및 이해 관계자를 한 자리에 모으는 AICE 2023 컨퍼런스를 개최해 기쁘다"며 "물 안보와 지속 가능성에 중점을 두고 우리는 '2047년까지 더 나은 물 국가'를 향한 길을 개척하는 것을 목표로 한다"고 밝혔다.

AWWA highlights commitment to global water security, sustainability at AWWAIndia’s International Conference & Exhibition 2023

JAIPUR, India – Leaders from the American Water Works Association (AWWA) are participating in the AWWAIndia Association's (AIA) second annual International Conference & Exhibition (AICE 2023), which began today at Hotel Lalit, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. This year’s two-day conference focuses on "Water Security & Sustainability."
