연동식(Peristalic) 화학계량 전문기업인 왓슨-말로우 유체기술 그룹(Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group; WMFTG)은 식수공급용 화학계량 호스펌프로 세계최초로 NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 인증을 받았다고 발표했다.
북미에서 정수처리 또는 유통 제품을 제조, 판매 및 유통하는 기업은 해당 제품이 NSF/ANSI/CAN 61: 먹는 물 시스템 구성 요소 - 건강 효과에 부합하는지 확인해야 한다.
이 글로벌 성능 기반 표준은 장비에서 유입되는 오염물질의 양과 식수와 접촉하는 구성품 및 재료의 양을 평가한다.
이러한 간접 첨가물은 생산, 처리 및 유통을 포함하여 출처에서 탭으로 이동하는 과정에서 어느 지점에서나 발생할 수 있다.

Qdos 연동식(peristalic) 화학측정펌프를 포함한 다른 왓슨-말로우(Watson-Marlow) 제품들도 이 인증을 가지고 있다. 미국과 캐나다에서는 식수계통 성분이 정수처리장에서 수도계량기까지 규제된다.
NSF 인증 프로세스는 최고 품질의 구성품만 식수와 접촉하도록 보장한다. NSF 인증을 받기 위해 제조업체는 모든 습식 부품의 모든 제품 재료 및 공급업체 이름에 대한 세부 정보를 제출해야 한다. 그 후 모든 제조 설비에 대한 철저한 검사를 실시한다.

Peristaltic chemical metering expert Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG), announces that it received the first NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 accreditation in the world for its chemical metering hose pumps for drinking water supply.
Companies manufacturing, selling or distributing water treatment or distribution products in North America must ensure their products comply with NSF/ANSI/CAN 61: Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects.
This global performance-based standard evaluates the quantity of contaminants that leach from equipment and the components and materials that come into contact with drinking water.
These indirect additives can occur at any point in the journey from source to tap, including production, treatment and distribution.

Models in WMFTG’s Bredel and APEX ranges are the first chemical metering hose pumps to achieve NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certification.

In the U.S. and Canada, drinking water system components are regulated from the water treatment works to the water meter.
The NSF certification process ensures only the highest quality components come into contact with drinking water.
To qualify for this coveted accreditation, manufacturers must submit details about all product materials and supplier names of all wetted components. A thorough inspection of all manufacturing facilities is then carried out.
Once certified, products are entitled to carry the NSF mark and are listed on the organization’s website www.nsf.org/certified-products-systems.
Products must be re-tested and facilities audited each year to demonstrate compliance.
