[미국] 플루언스, 중국서 첫 상업용 MABR인 'SUBRE 시스템’ 납품 계약
분산형 물, 하·폐수 및 재사용 처리 시장의 선두업체인 플루언스(Fluence Corporation Limited)는 중국 판진시(盤錦, Panji)에 있는 하루 3천㎥ 처리용량의 SUBRE 시스템(자체 소유 MABR 기술의 수중 버전)의 납품 계약을 실행했다고 지난 8월 18일 발표했다.
이는 플루언스의 중국 최초의 상업용 SUBRE 주문과 파트너인 랴오닝화홍신에너지(이하 Liaoning Huahong)에 의해 시작된 첫 번째 주문이다. 이 시설은 판진시가 건설 중인 그린필드 폐수처리장에 설치될 예정이다.
이 프로젝트는 28개의 SUBRE 유닛으로 구성되며, 각 유닛에는 3개의 Fluence의 독점 MABR(Membrane Airated Biofilm Reactor) 모듈이 포함되어 있다.
시스템 설치는 2019년 말까지 완료될 것으로 예상된다. 중요한 것은 SUBRE 시스템이 판진시 정부가 중국의 1A급 하·폐수 배출기준에 따른 엄격한 배출 요건을 충족하도록 도울 것이라는 점이다.
이와 관련하여, 플루언스의 CEO인 헨리 차라베(Henry Charrabe)는 "이 프로젝트는 플루언스가 중국에 처음으로 상업용 SUBRE를 설치한 것이며, 우리의 핵심 최종 시장 중 하나에 핵심 기술을 참조 기준(reference site)에 맞게 제공할 것"이라면서 "우리는 특히 올해 3월에만 열리는 상업적 출시에 비추어 SUBRE에 대한 시장의 관심과 수용에 매우 만족한다"고 말했다.

Fluence Signs First Commercial SUBRE Order In China
Fluence Corporation Limited is pleased to announce that it has executed a contract for the delivery of a 3,000 m3/day SUBRE system (the submerged version of its proprietary MABR technology) in Panjin, China.
This represents Fluence’s first commercial SUBRE order in China and the first order originated by partner Liaoning Huahong New Energy Co., Ltd. (“Liaoning Huahong”). The units will be installed in a greenfield wastewater treatment plant being constructed by the Panjin City Government.
This project will consist of 28 SUBRE units, each of which contains 3 of Fluence’s proprietary Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor (“MABR”) modules.
Delivery is expected in the fall with an anticipated completion date by year-end 2019. Importantly, the SUBRE units will help the Panjin City Government meet the stringent discharge requirements under China’s Class 1A wastewater discharge standards.
Commenting on this award, Fluence Managing Director & CEO Henry Charrabe said: “This project is Fluence’s first commercial SUBRE installation in China and provides a key technology reference site in one of our core end markets. We are very pleased with market interest and acceptance of SUBRE, especially in light of the commercial launch only taking place in March of this year.
"The technical requirements of this system were especially challenging given the range of ambient temperatures under which the system will operate, but our team was able to deliver a solution that can handle winter temperatures dropping as low as minus 20℃. Solving the technical challenges of the project’s ambient temperatures makes SUBRE ideally suited for the surrounding Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang provinces that experience similar weather extremes.
