이스라엘의 IDE 테크놀러지(IDE Technologies)사는 환경친화적인 담수화로 관광 수요를 증가시키고 있다.
세계 수준의 담수화 및 수처리 솔루션을 제공하는 세계적인 선도기업인 IDE 테크놀러지사는 스페인령인 아프리카 카나리아 제도(Canary Islands)에서 50년 넘게 담수화 플랜트를 제공하고 있으며, 최근 스페인의 아구아 드 아르기네긴(Aguas De Arguineguin) 수도사업소에 화학물질 없는 역삼투 해수담수화(SWRO, SeaWater Reverse Osmosis) 솔루션을 공급했다.
이 시설은 하루 1천㎥의 용량을 가지며 화학약품을 사용하지 않고도 에너지 소비를 줄인 경제적인 깨끗한 물을 공급하는 'IDE PROGREEN'(IDE에서 개발하여 전세계에 특허를 낸 역삼투 해수담화 시스템)을 사용한다. 이 시설은 증가하는 수요를 충족시키기 위해 관광사업을 포함한 지역 주민들에게 식수를 공급하게 된다.

아르기네긴(Arguineguin)은 그란 카나리아(Gran Canaria) 섬의 남쪽 해안에 있는 그림처럼 아름다운 관광지로, 카나리아 제도 군도에서 가장 큰 섬이다. 기존의 담수화 시설은 36년 전에 지어졌으며, 관광산업이 성장하면서보다 광범위한 솔루션이 필요했다. IDE는 먹는물 생산 및 공급을 포함하여 2017년 말에 프로젝트를 수주했다.

IDE meets growing water demands for tourism with environmentally-friendly desalination
IDE Technologies, a world leader in providing world-class desalination and water treatment solutions, has been a provider of desalination plants for more than 50 years in the Canary Islands and recently supplied a chemical-free SWRO solution to Aguas De Arguineguin.
The plant has a capacity of 1,000 m3/day and utilizes IDE PROGREEN which delivers affordable, clean water without the use of chemicals and with reduced energy consumption. The plant supplies drinking water to the local population, including tourism businesses, to meet increasing demands.

Arguineguin is a picturesque tourist location on the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria, the largest island in the Canary Islands archipelago. The existing desalination plant was built 36 years ago and with growing tourism, a more extensive solution was required. IDE was awarded the project in late 2017, which included production and distribution.
