▶Status:
-Watpac was awarded a contract for Design, Engineerign & Construction Services for onshore Infrastructure on 3/4/2019.
-Watpac will be supported by Mott MacDonald.
-Furthermore, Newcastle GasDock Company, a subsidiary of EPIK, has been established in Australia to carry out the project.

한국의 LNG터미널 개발 전문회사인 에픽(EPIK)은 뉴캐슬 부유식 LNG터미널 건설을 위한 육상 인프라 설계, 엔지니어링 및 건설 서비스 공급계약을 호주 대형 건설사인 왓팩(Watpac)과 4월 3일 체결했다. 

왓팩은 이번 계약을 위해 글로벌 해양 엔지니어링업체인 모트 맥도날드(Mott MacDonald)의 지원을 받게 된다. 

또한 에픽은 호주에 자회사를 설립하여 2020년 초까지 모든 인허가를 받은 후, 신규 FSRU를 발주할 예정이다.

이 프로젝트는 17만 입방미터 급 FSRU와 육상 인프라시설이 포함된 부유식 LNG터미널을 뉴캐슬 항에 건설하는 4억3천만 달러 규모의 사업이다.
