[미국] GE, 음료 제조업체 위한 새로운 UF-RO 시스템 개발
미국의 글로벌 수처리기업인 제너럴일렉트릭(GE)은 음료업계를 겨냥한 새로운 한외여과(UF) 및 역삼투(RO) 시스템을 개발했다.
GE의 새로운 ‘BEVPAK’ 시스템은 UF와 RO를 단일 스키드(skid)에 결합했다.
새로운 솔루션인 BEVPAK은 음료 생산에서 수처리용으로 사용되며, 특히 탄산 청량음료, 주스, 생수 및 탄산 음료용 원료 물 생산에 적합하다.
이 제품은 단일 스키드에 UF와 RO를 결합하여 별도로 기술을 사용하는 것에 비해 설치 공간을 최대 30 %까지 줄였다. 미립자, 미생물 및 도전성 원수로부터 총 용존 고형물을 제거하도록 설계되었다.
스키드 시스템은 ‘ZeeWeed 700B’ 수평 디자인, 내부 UF 멤브레인 및 BEV RO 기술을 결합합니다. ZeeWeed 700B 멤브레인은 폴리 에테르 술폰과 영구 친수성을 섞어 오염 경향을 줄인다.
GE Water & Process Technologies의 세계적 리더인 케빈 캐시디(Kevin Cassidy)는 "입자 필터 미디어 및 카트리지 필터와 비교할 때, ZeeWeed 700B 멤브레인은 우수한 수질을 만들어 내고 다양한 원시 수질에 거의 영향을 받지 않는 것은 물론 설치가 간단하도록 설계되었으며 원격 모니터링을 위한 인터넷 연결을 제공한다”고 밝혔다.
그는 이어 "BEVPAK은 음료 업계가 가변적 인 원수를 사용하여 필요한 제품 품질을 제공 할 수 있다는 확신을 심어줄 것”이라고 말했다.

GE introduces new UF-RO product for drinks producers
GE has developed a new ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) system aimed at the drinks industry.
GE’s new BEVPAK system combines UF and RO on a single skid.
The new solution, BEVPAK, is for water treatment in drinks production, and is particularly suitable for production of ingredient water for carbonated soft drinks, juices, bottled water, and non-carbonated drinks.
The product combines UF and RO on a single skid, reducing the footprint by up to 30 per cent compared to using the technologies separately; and is designed to remove particulates, microorganisms, and total dissolved solids from challenging source water.
The skid system combines ZeeWeed 700B horizontal-designed, inside-out UF membranes, and BEV RO technology. ZeeWeed 700B membranes are blended polyethersulphone and permanently hydrophilic, reducing the fouling tendency.
“When compared to granular filter media and cartridge filters, the ZeeWeed 700B membrane produces superior water quality and is virtually unaffected by variable raw water quality,” GE said. The system is designed to be simple to install, and offers internet connectivity for remote monitoring.
“BEVPAK will give the beverage industry confidence that highly variable raw water can be treated to deliver the required product quality,” said GE Water & Process Technologies global leader, engineered systems, Kevin Cassidy.
