[미국] 워싱턴주의 재생수 사용 향상을 위한 새로운 안건 수립
 
워싱턴주의 새롭게 입안된 안건으로 재생수 사용을 장려하기 위한 규제를 합리화할 수 있게 됐다. 입안된 안건은 워싱턴주의 생태학 부서에 의해 개발되고 있으며, 새로운 규정을 수립해 재생수와 관련된 모든 프로젝트에 대해 허용기준 및 요구사항을 포함한 일관된 구조를 구현할 수 있다. 
 
제안된 안건은 △생산 및 유통 부분에서 재생수 사용 하용 △공중위생 보호를 위한 노력의 일환으로 재생수 정의 △물 권한 문제를 해결하기 위한 수단 정의 △재생수 시설의 운영의무에 있어 새로운 규정 준수 등을 포함한다.

Washington state floats new rule to boost water relclamation
 
A new Washington state draft rule could streamline regulations to encourage on reclaimed water use. 
 
The draft rule, which is being developed by Washington Department of Ecology, would establish new regulations for all reclaimed water projects and create a consistent implementation framework, including standards and permitting requirements.

The proposed rule includes:
·a single permit for the production, distribution and use of reclaimed water;
·definitions of reclaimed water that seek to protect public health;
·a means to define and resolve water rights issues; and
·an obligation on operating reclaimed water facilities to comply with the new regulations.
 
Washington state jurisdictions are deploying reclaimed water to work, including Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, Quincy, Airway Heights, and King County.
 
Director of the Washington Department of Ecology, Maia Bellon, said: "This proposal gives our state an additional tool to reduce the impacts of water shortages and drought conditions in the future."

Public consultation on the draft rule will run until 21 August 2015.
